My name is Sofia. I’m the middle in siblings.

I used to think being the middle meant being unnoticed. Not the oldest with all the pressure. Not the youngest with all the attention. Just somewhere in between adjusting, understanding, staying quiet when needed.
Then my father passed away.
Everything changed after that. The house felt different. His voice was gone. The small everyday things his footsteps, his laughter, even the way he called my name became memories instead of moments .I was hurting more than I knew how to explain. Some days I felt strong. Some days I felt completely lost. But when I looked at my siblings, I saw how much they needed someone to be steady. Someone who wouldn’t fall apart.
